JOB TITLE: SITE COORDINATOR  
Affiliate:  State Wide

Elementary School - Openings in All Counties

Summary: The primary responsibility of the Site Coordinator is to ensure effective development and support for specific initiatives; to increase school and student participation; to coordinate and build relationships with community partners; to coordinate all evaluations and quality assurance activities of these specific initiatives.
 
(1) Assist with on-going project development including strategic planning, program sustainability, expansion of project and partnerships to support the annual operations plan for project

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Student ServicesCollaborate with school staff to make appropriate linkages to needed academic, physical, or social services to children in need.  Successfully match and retain volunteers with students for identified program needs.

  1. Identifying students in need of additional support services and providing specific plans to achieve school success for each of them; including the development of a mentoring program; development and support of group sessions with students including girls and guys peer groups. Establish and maintain a cohort of students that is case managed by the all of the site staff.
  2. Identifying/coordinating appropriate community resources and facilitating community partnerships in support of students;
(3) Support an annual site operations plan concentrating on whole school initiatives (Tier 1 services).
 
Volunteer Recruitment
  • Successfully recruit, train, and retain community volunteers, interns to support site operations plan. 
  • Provide overall scheduling and coordination of volunteer/student relations. 
  • Serve as a communication conduit for gathering/exchanging information.

Project Management
  • Coordinate and assist CIS local site with programmatic development and administrative support for CIS Network Initiatives or localize special programs (i.e. school wide mentoring initiative)
  • Work closely with the immediate supervisor to ensure compliance with all programmatic requirements of program contracts, grants, and other partnerships.
  • Ensure effective CIS programming by identifying and monitoring trends, key issues, proven practices, and/or evaluation findings of programs.
  • Develop program goals and objectives including developing an annual project operations plan
  • Develop and monitor policies and procedures for delivering services and programs to local communities and CIS local programs.
  • Provide overall scheduling and coordination activities with school and CIS staff.
  • Serve as a communication conduit for marketing the project to the school and broader community.
 
Data Collection/Evaluation
  • Ensure that all paperwork is current and that students’ participating in the project are entered into CISDM system. 
  • Provide requested data at specified times to Site Coordinator, school liaison and CIS State office. 
  • Including monthly reports, marking period reports, mid-year progress and End of the Year Report. Gather, enter, and analyze student and family data for individual and programmatic evaluation.
 
Relationship to School and Community
  • Provide feedback to school staff, administration, the CIS advisory team, and other resource agencies involved in collaborative services.
  • Create and distribute newsletters about program accomplishments to volunteers and community partners. 
 
Community Networking
  • Present the CIS mission, vision, and initiatives within the community. 
  • Provide networking opportunities for volunteers and community partners. 
  • Provide leadership in securing community resources beneficial to project or students and families participating in project.
 
Professional Development
Attend CIS state and national meetings and trainings as appropriate with emphasis on program development, technology, and data collection/evaluation.
 
Qualifications
  • Experience working with school-age children 
  • Associate Degree in Human Services, Child Development
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related area of study (Preferred)
  • Ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Willingness and ability to tutor students. 
  • Familiarity with local health and human service agencies. 
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness, enthusiasm, and high energy. 
  • Must have a valid DE driver’s license and automobile insurance. 
  • Criminal background check required.

Salary Range:  $33,000.00 to $38,000.00 depending on education/experience.
 
Benefits: Health Care including Dental, Short-term and Long-term disability and Life Insurance for employee ONLY. Plus Holidays as determined by CISDE.
